Para escolher os 100 discos, foi reunido um time de especialistas, incluindo Pharrell Williams, J Balvin, Maren Morris e Charli XCX.
"Criada com a ajuda de artistas e especialistas, é uma carta de amor aos álbuns que moldaram o mundo em que vivemos e ouvimos", diz a plataforma no ambiente especial com os títulos escolhidos.
Nomes de referências, claro, conquistaram uma vaga, como The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Patti Smith, Nina Simone, e divas pop, como Beyoncé, Taylor Swift e Adele.
A revista Rolling Stone indicou que artistas americanos dominam a lista, com 63 álbuns, seguidos pelos britânicos, que aparecem com 22.
Entre os gêneros, hip hop fica na liderança com 21%, seguido de rock, com 18%, e pop, com 16%.
Os anos 1990 são a década mais representada, com 23 álbuns.
Os únicos artistas com mais de um disco no top 10 são The Beatles, Prince, Stevie Wonder e Beyoncé.
